A series of lighthearted, rhyming stories with endearing characters that explain differences to children in a way they can relate to and understand, but also help adults and peers learn how to help and support in moments of difficulty.
This children's book series has been a labour of love, every word and illustration carefully chosen and created to foster the concept of inclusion and to help children see themselves represented in a way that offers a refreshing alternative to the medical model of deficits. With an emphasis on acceptance and support, the characters learn to understand themselves a little better and the books gently approach the topic of self advocacy and the self confidence it can provide.

Tilly Tortoise is a well written and thoughtful book in a much neglected category.
SEN characters and stories are still so far and few between, and Tilly Tortoise is a sweet, endearing & helpful addition to any child's bookcase.
We loved it so much we're ordering a copy to donate to our sons nursery and hoping it opens discussions amongst teachers, parents and children alike.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series to be released.

I purchased this book after seeing Dean give a presentation and have been delighted. It has made perfect sense to my autistic son and helped me to understand him as well. I shall be purchasing more of the titles for my preschool.
